Today’s 5 Minute Friday theme is: Focus
One day while I took my children hiking, we found a flowering shrub that turned into a devotional study by way of photography. I showed Moni how to adjust the settings on her camera to get two different types of focus. We zoomed in to the flower itself, then panned out to focus on the surrounding brush. I explained how our perspectives change depending on how we focus. No matter what perspective we took, it didn’t change the big picture of the entire brush and landscape of where we were hiking. Everything is created by God. Sometimes the greatest way for us to change a situation is to simply adjust our focus. By adjusting our focus, we are the ones who change.

That *is*so accurate, and beautiful in its simplicity. Thank you for sharing! (Over here from LisaJo’s linky.)
Thank you for coming by, Monika.
Beautiful! Your words and your photograph
Thank you, Sheila.
GREAT post. I’m working through adjusting my focus on a daily basis right now. Great reminders. Thanks for sharing.
It’s amazing how an adjustment in perspective can really change us.
What a great perspective (couldn’t help myself). It always helps to look at things more than one way. Great photo, too. Red flowers always seem to drive my cameras cra-zazy!
Thanks, Amy. Ya, red flowers are tricky to capture. I got lucky with this one.
What a beautiful photo – and great lesson
Thank you, Christina. Sometimes the simplest lessons have a huge impact.
